For the most part that is.

My restaurant decided to have this day called "penny pancake day." Basically if you get a beverage, coffee, lemonade, soda, and the likes you get to eat all the pancakes you can for a penny a piece, and these aren't silver dollar pancakes, these are full size fluffy fvckers. Basically the day consisted of ten tops walking through the door asking if we accepted link card (not really, just something I thought was funny). Every nut job, "special" person, and dickhead came in today. I honestly have never taken so many tables for so little money in my life. People don't understand that even if you get penny pancakes that tipping 15 percent on a 4 dollar bill that would normally amount to near 10 is horrible. 75 bucks on the busiest shift of my life, nearly 200 guests I waited on in a 6 hour shift. And yes, I was rocking a 12 table section all day just to make that much, I was flipping the hell out of those tables. I was praying to slip on a wet spot on the floor and be sent home.

I'm now drinking Sam Adams summer ale. Cheers!

Being a waiter is good money for a college kid. I did it. Nothing like having $80 to $100 in your pocket everytime you leave work. Unfortunately I worked at an Applebees so I served basically only white trash. They were horrible tippers.

I've worked retail, hotel, dominos pizza but I would never work as a waiter in a restaraunt, I couldn't deal with those prick customers because I would do the worse things to their food (Waiting).

Being a waiter is a great job as a college student. I work three shifts a week and will generally walk out with 100 to 150 on each. 300 minimum in cash ain't too bad for 17 hours a week. They wouldn't accept any requests off for today which pissed me off even more. I had that shit locked in 2 months in advance, and my gen. mgr. said hell no. bullshit!
