I have a dd9512 that is in my 2005 explorer, I need to know what the box specs are and everything based upon beginning instructions. I can answer all of the questions you have. Please help me, this will be for a daily driver, but I want the most bass possible out of it.

I had a box designed for my 9512s. It does not fall into DD's "recommended specs". Not too far off though, but they perform the way I want.

While my question does sound stupid, I had a good reason for asking. I know that recommended specs don't mean the best, just means they know that their sub would play with that box.

You should compile a new set of reccomendations for them then! It would be a handy reference for people.
