All Right.

This will be my first system and i dont know much about them. What i am looking for is a nice pair of twelves. I am more interested in quality bass instead of something that jus rattles the fu-k out of ur car. I am sort of feeling towards a pair of alpine type r 12's My friend had a 15 rockford fosgate and yes it hit hard but in my oppinion it sounded like shit. What do u guys suggest?

save up your cash then list what you got to play with and that will get you good straigh forward answers along with amp and hu if needed as well. And we would need to know what amp you have to run them as well. Along with the type of car suv truck etc as well. Its too hard to just say buy these there great

Unless it was a Team RF, not many RF woofers are worth stealing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
sad to say...........but true //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Well i havnt purchased a car nor a amp yet. Im not buying an suv or anything itll probly be a basic four seater car with a trunk. umm im willing to spend about 150 on each sub. (Thats about what the type R's cost but i can find them cheaper) My friend has two 12s type R's and he'll sell them for me prolly for around $150. I jus am looking for good quality bass. Alot of kids around here have systems but i think they sound like shit b/c they have no quality. All they're worried about is it hitting hard. At first i was wondering wheather to buy the JL's W3 or the Alpine Type r but when i seen them two help up next to each other the alpines was was better quality. I know you cant say, oh buy these there the best but maybe you guys could help by telling me what you think of this sub or whatever.

Thanks

Alex

id look into the ascendant atlas 12's personally. sound quality is amazing on those, maybe the soundsplinter RL-i's too. or the Resonant engineering SE series.

look for DUAL VOICE COIL 4 ohms (if you read my post in your other thread) and buy that amp i showed you, one hell of a deal for a beginner. you want somthing that will be able to run at 4ohms (so you can bridge the amp) so two DVC1's, two SVC2's (single voice coil - id oubt you will find SVC2 subs tho), two DVC4's, or two SVC8's will be able to be ran at 4ohms.

alpine type-r's are OK, but the atlas will kill them in sound quality (prolly the rl-i's will too) and the SE will be up with it, or better and hit WAY harder.

all these subs are around $150+shipping.
