Before & After, bye bye CSS SDX 15" :(

Better suited for SQ then?
And how about you, SPL guy?

It was VERY SQ oriented, it's not even a car audio woofer. Built for home theatre.
I'm not an "SPL guy", more of a daily driver, low end monster, type of guy.
Me too.

Thanks for the input, I've been wanting to try that driver for a while.

I was born in Indiana BTW. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

lol. I would recommend this sub to ANYONE.. it ate 1500 daily for almost a year.

something finally gave in though, coil just came unraveled.

I'd say 1k-1200 is PERFECT for this sub. Any more & you'll get the same result as me.

did it murder the lows?
like oj?
I had it tuned @ 32, square port, in it's first box & it WHAMMED the lows & was extremely..

then the 2nd box was tuned lower @ 29hz w/a 6" aeroport.. it wasn't very musical, unless you were listening to chopped & screwed.

All around lowness, yeah.. it was a low end monster.

size boxes?
1st = 3.5 @ 34 (I know it's small, not much trunk space & I figured it'd help due to the extra 500 watts over RMS rating)

2nd = 4.2 @ 29 (not my design, and was very temporary)

future recone?
I'm about to start asking for opinions on who I should go through.

I'd like to see a lot stronger soft part structure go into this beast of a motor..

i think thats a worx. ive never heard of worx.
i thought snoop fried one of the honeycomb tc's?
looked the same from the front to me.

cept the motor. it was the tc neo.

& it was pre-wall.. couple years ago in kentucky @ meca finals.

Something interesting I found with cones like that is that if you get them really wet they start to come apart very easily.

Cliffs: Don't get them really wet.
