Been out a while, need some SQ speakers

I've been out of the car audio game for a year or so now, been looking to change a bit of my silverados setup. it takes standard 6.5 in the front. I have the sundown 65cs v1s currently, powered by sundowns 125.4 amp with a 3-way network crossover done on the amp. I was wondering what has changed with the SQ side for some models for me to aim for budget wise? I was looking at the Image Dynamics xs65 ($450) set before I happen to stop/pause/retire from changing stuff out. Are those still solid SQ components? or has someone else taken over the top spot for that price range? Let me know any recomendations you guys have, even if its a bit more, or a cheaper set. Thank you!

2010 Silverado 1500 crew cab to be exact. I dont care about back doors really, I have them unhooked anyway. I just had my fun brand matching everything (dumb concept I know but I had play money then) now Im ready to go with what sounds clearer.

Will you be running active or staying passive? If running passive, I'd recommend Morel Tempo Ultra 602 two-way components. Outstanding tweeters with a midbass that puts out an punchy and impressive amount of bass. You can get them on Ebay for $279 from an authorized Morel dealer (Dynamic Autosound), as well. It's always best to purchase from an authorized dealer.

But, if running active, get raw drivers from any number of places like partsexpress.com or madisound.com. Or, there's a couple of rather hot manufacturers out there now...Audiofrog or Stereo Integrity you can purchase directly from. Both organizations make very good component parts.

I would highly recommend looking at Audiofrog. Great drivers and better customer service. Just another option to research.
