Hey guys been outta the game a bit, need a little help, my son has started getting into it now, I'm looking for a decent system that's reliable , looking for 2-15's and an amp,his budget is $500, I run a Merlin md2d re 15's , I know I won't get that sound or quality for the price, I've been looking at a lotta newer stuff just don't know if it's any good example Power Acoustik Gothic GT1 4500D 4500W Mono D Car Amplifier Amp Stereo GT14500D 709483042209 | eBay

He's wanting 2-15 L7's and a big amp, I'm just not a fan of kicker, any help would be appreciated , thanks

I will sell you a DD M1C For 300 + shipping. Top of the line amp, 1700 watts at 14 volts, 1500 at 12. It would be the perfect amp for those subs.

Not much money for 2 decent 15s and an amp. You still need a box and amp kit as well the power acoustic amp is junk. Don't waste your cash.

if your going to get any power acoustik amp, get the bamf5500 or try and find the old school power acoustik A3000db(

Well if the $500 is only for the two subs and amp (not wiring, etc.) I would go with two Sundown E15s and a Hifonics BRZ1200.1D. That would be just a bit under $500.

$500 huh............ i would do 1 apsm2000 and Aq/Sq Hdc3 15 wire it at 1 ohm... should be under 500

^^^ I concur. If you're wanting 2 15's go with the 2.5's. Here's a link: SDC2.5 (Street Duty 2.5) Series Subwoofers Then look for an amp that does around 1200-1500 in the classifieds here. With a box and wiring you're going to go over 500 but it'll be worth it in the end.

^^^^^ yea a pair of the sdc2.5 12s or 15s would work as well. and require less power so more money to spend on other stuff....

Thanks guys The 500 is just for subs and amp, I have left over wire fuses etc for wiring and the B-3 , I used to build custom enclosures, just haven't kept in the upidy up on the gear. Any other suggestions?

I have 2 cerwin vega vmax 12's aluminum cone version and a 3.4cf double baffle birch box built by SS Audio Solutions for $325 which will leave you plenty of cash for an amp to power them. im in Melbourne about an hr and a half from you. The subs got louder and lower than 2 skar vvx 12s on same power and same box. Let me know if you're interested i can send you some pics.

^^^^^also thats not bad for 2 vega's and a box, then just get a audiopipe apsm-1500 and be done

they will sound better and be cheaper then a L7 for sure. My recommendation was the 1 Hdc3 15, if put in the right box 1 hdc3 will sound like a couple.
