he tests the subs at their rated power level for 200 Hours. now that's old school power rating. they are beautiful subs. that price is IIRC, but pretty close to that me thinks.Dang hope that's a bit much, don't you think?
Nevermind, I found it...Anyone got an idea on what kind of box the SA8 V2s will want? Probably around the same? Im hoping to run them in like .8 cubes each @32 or 33Hz...
Too hollow sounding for me...The 9500's surprisingly don't sound bad at all. They can get very loud but they don't sound bad by any means.
Same with Audioque... Maybe I am too SQL, or you havent heard some good SQ/SQL subs... Idk. Just something some of us dont like to hear I guess. Lol.See everyone says that but I don't understand it at all lol I've heard DD's entry level and their 9500's and it doesn't sound off or anything
I wouldn't hesitate double the RMS... My SA-10 takes it.... I would imagine one of those ridiculously underrated 8v2 could take it. Most people run the 8v1 at double... I'm sure even with the modestly increased ratings, they can still take a clean 1k. Especially after the testing Jacob has done on them. I believe he also builds his woofers strong enough that they will fail mechanically before failing thermally, so you'll know instantly if you're running too much power.SA8 v2s are due at the end of March. they would be a good choice for a small enclosure build. I dont know about putting DOUBLE the RMS to them though. Not a good idea in my opinion, but its been done. Thought about grabbing a few myself, but didnt want to wait that long on them to arrive. But from the looks of it I might not have my current set up in by then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Yes sir! But I believe the SA8 V2s basically have no mechanical limit. Lol. I think they will thermally fail first.I wouldn't hesitate double the RMS... My SA-10 takes it.... Man, I wish I had the money for some of those... My dream subs!I'm gonna be running two xcon 10's. They Ask for 1.5 cf vented for optimum. Can go down to 1.25
i hope they live up to the hype of sq and loudness that ive been hearingYes sir! But I believe the SA8 V2s basically have no mechanical limit. Lol. I think they will thermally fail first.
