Sure he's not as technically skilled as Rodgers or Cutler but he does make plays and wins games. I would take him over Rodgers or Cutler, especially in the playoffs. That's where it really counts. You can do great in the regular season but not coming through when it matters basically makes it all worthless.Ben has his two rings, and is staring at a 3rd. He's proven himself to me.
Ben's a tough kid. I'll give him that much. He did kinda step into a winning formula in Pittsburgh, though, and he's had the benefit of being surrounded by excellent players AND coaches from the word go. I think he's a solid player, shitty person and all around lucky dude. It'd be cool to see what Rodgers or Cutler would be able to accomplish under center in Pittsburgh. I think both would outplay Ben...

I like how nobody's talking about Sanchez and the Jets lol
Sanchez has a LONG way to go. Hopefully Ryan and co. will be able to draft well and keep that defense top notch while Sanchez progresses. As a Marshall graduate I kinda have a soft spot for the team that gave Chad Pennington a shot (even if they did kinda fuck him over in the end).

It's pretty cool to see Ahmad Bradshaw emerging as a solid player too, even if I do hate the NY Giants. Marshall's football program used to churn out some good players. Only Randy Moss was great, but Pennington, Leftwich, Bradshaw and a few others have made Herd fans pretty happy. Chad Pennington was, and may still be, the most accurate QB in NFL history...and that's something almost nobody realizes/remembers. It's a shame he had all those shoulder injuries. That kid could've been the best "system" QB ever.

i dont rodgers could do what ben does with that same o-line. ben breaks tackles all day in the pocket. i dont see rodgers breakin tackles like that on a consistent basis. while rodgers is crazy good i just hate him. Hated him since high school. So maybe thats playing a factor to the way im thinkin. Ben is just a tough SOB and i dont see that type of fight out of rodgers.

Any one saying the packers is a joke clearly dont watch much football. Aaron Rodgers is turning into an elite QB in this league whether you want to admit it or not. And theres some guys on that team that are hungry to get to that super bowl, I just dont see the bears topping that. I want to see the Jets in there with them, I like seeing new teams in the super bowl instead of the same ones every year.

I'm just pulling for a good game since my colts got knocked out:crap:
You don't see the Bears topping that? You think our guys ain't hungry, man? Are you serious? The Bears were supposed to be good for 6 or 7 wins this year, but they're knockin' on the door to the Super Bowl...and the road to that Super Bowl game leads straight through Soldier Field. Come on, dude.

As I said earlier. If Martz calls Forte's number early & often, the Bears win this game. Here's a stat for ya. The Bears are undefeated when Forte gets 21+ carries. The kid is one of the most well rounded players in the entire league. He runs well, has good field vision, has excellent blocking skills AND can make catches out of the backfield that'd make you think he's a WR. There are several other backs who can outperform Matt in one way or another, but noone does everything better than him. The Packers D, as good as they are, will have no answer for Matt Forte.

The outcome of this game relies heavily upon what Mike Martz does. He's stubborn to a fault and hates the fact that he can't rely on the 7 step drop and a timing based offense. He LOVES to get pass happy too, but the Bears offense ***** when he does that. If he calls a balanced game, the Packers are D-O-N-E...

The Packers' o-line is just as sorry as the Steelers', and Rodgers is more mobile than Ben. He'd flourish in that offense. No doubt about it...

agreed hes more mobile without a doubt, but hes not as hard nosed as ben. Ben would break a tackle i see rodger getting bent. And im not giving the packs o-line props. That there weakpoint. I just dont see rodgers makin it happen in black and yellow

So if QB A completes 8/10 passes, all 10 of which were horrible passes but the WR made some great catches, he is more accurate than QB B who completed 6/10 passes, with all 10 passes being on target & the 4 incompletions being dropped passes? Interesting.
I'm not taking this to a hypothetical level. What I said about Pennington is a fact, and you made yourself look stupid (AGAIN) by questioning it.

Do yourself a favor and stay quiet when men are discussing the game. You don't know enough about it to speak up, and you've proven this time and time again. I've got nothing against you, man, but you're borderline retarded where football is concerned...

You're right on the running game, but everyone wants to see cutler throw that ball. And when it comes to poise, I just think rodgers is going to be able to handle this big game without costly mistakes. Cutler on the other hand I think is going to have a few rough spots in the game that he's not going to be able to dig himself out of.

You must be forgetting Rodgers' "kick 6" that lost the Packers a playoff game not long ago. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The Bears are ready for the big game, man. The question is; Is our OC ready?

I disagree. Ben is a proven winner. Rodgers and Cutler both have to prove themselves before they can be considered to be on par with Ben. I don't really like to get into the whole "if so and so was on this team" debate because it could go on forever. Point is, what you do doesn't mean jack if you can't win a ring. Patriots are a prime example of that.

I've never liked the Jets. I feel like they have been very lucky this season and they definitely are not a superbowl team. I still can't get over the whole faking injuries to stop the Pats hurry up offense thing. And Mark Sanchez needs a lot of work.

You showin' your football ignorance again? What I said wasn't an opinion, it's fact.
Answers.com - Who is the most accurate quarterback in NFL history
Pass% does not equate to accuracy. If you're just chucking it up in the air and hoping your receivers catch it (Rex Grossman) that doesn't make you accurate. Accuracy is about putting the ball where it needs to be, and Peyton Manning is the best at that imo. Not to mention you have to take into account how many pass attempts you have. Look at the QB's on that list. Manning has 7000+ career attempts. Pennington has 2000 something. Comparing Chad Pennington's accuracy to anyone on that list except maybe Carson Palmer is ridiculous.
