Bears vs Steelers

Things would have got worse or went the same with Jay Cutler in the game. He is a decent QB with a crazy strong arm, but he just doesn't have "it".

What he doesn't have is an offensive line worth a damn. What he does have is a stubborn OC who won't let him throw the ball to his "go to guy" regularly (Olsen) & WRs who can't get open regularly (even in single coverage). Jay will do big things with the Bears, but it's going to take time. We're only 2 seasons into a rebuild and we just got a game away from the Super Bowl. A couple decent offensive linemen and a big bodied/sure handed WR would put us over the hump...and we should be able to address at least two of those 3 problems in the offseason.

I'm not going to hit panic mode because the Bears didn't make it the the Super Bowl this year. I had them at 6-10 coming into the season, so I'm really happy about them being as good as they were. I don't think we could beat the NY Jets or Steelers in the big game anyway...not really. I'd act like I believe it, but in truth I don't...

Bears roll all over the Packers and go on to lose handedly to the Steelers in the Super Bowl. In the off season (provided there is a 2011 NFL season) the Bears sign Logan Mankins, take another offensive lineman in the 1st round of the draft and make a move for Larry Fitzgerald or Vincent Jackson.

Once the chicago offensive line is shored up and Cutler's given a big bodied WR, the Bears hit dynasty mode. Bank on it...

Jay Cutler's a tough ******' kid, dude. He has taken a physical beating all year long and only missed one game (the first one he's ever missed). He's also lead the 30th ranked offense all the way to the NFCCG. If he had some help, even a little bit, he'd be ridiculous...
