Be careful with PayPal!!!

I havn't had any issues w/ pp. The one time I had a dispute( lasted 2 months, happened many years ago) they put the pressure on the dude (Chriscivic:crap:) and I eventually got my subs and somehow like 30-40 bucks out of him iirc.

No issues sending or recieving funds from my bank. Havn't had any buyer disputes in 100+ ebay transactions so I can't really voice my opinion on how they take care of sellers in that situation.

Defend them all you want. Again, IDGAF but I guarantee if they freeze your acct with your money in it for 6+ months you will change your tune.
Lets take another scenario into account. You sell a high dollar item for 2000.00 and the buyer opens a dispute saying its not as described and escalates it to the point where paypal puts a hold on 2 grand of your money and tells them to ship it back. This buyer sends you a box of garbage but keeps what he bought. Guess what happens?. Tracking shows you got the package and he gets his money back. Doesnt matter that it was just random junk. You get NOTHING and he gets the item and YOUR money and there isnt shit you can do about it. Sounds like a great company though right?.

And what credit card processing service would NOT freeze your funds and possibly side with an unscrupulous seller? Paypal is pretty bad, but only one in about 500 people pay with anything else.

I'm about 50/50 with people winning scam attempts. Really their "protection policy" is like locking the doors on your house, it keeps the honest people honest, determined thieves will still be able to steal. I do enough online sales/purchases to be statistically significant and have been protected as both buyer and seller and been scammed as both buyer and seller. Part of doing business.

I have used paypal since it came out. I have had my account frozen 1 time. It was a dishonest person trying to receive an item and get their money back. When they refused to provide tracking of the item being sent back to me, paypal got wise and allowed me to keep the money and unfroze my account. Now, I simply transfer the money out as soon as I receive it just in case this happens. I also try as hard as I can to get people to gift me the money they send. I don't care if I have to lower the price of the item. The fact that they can't screw me over makes it worth it. I don't look at paypal's buyer protection as making them crappy. They are consistent. They try to be fair. This wal-mart mentality people have, that they are OWED returns etc... it's ruining business. Even on this site, I see people want their money back for an item because it has a scuff or a scratch. YOU BOUGHT IT AS A USED ITEM! No returns were promised or implied, yet because of this scuff on a used item that may not have even been there prior to shipping, people think they are owed a full refund. What entitles them to it? They paid for a used item, and got a used item. This is not wal mart. Nobody owes you anything. You paid for something and got it. No chargebacks, no refunds, no whining. If people would be adults, quit trying to scam each other, and quit being babies this **** wouldn't happen.
