this may sound stupid..but what is the big diff between a walmart everstart maxx battery with 1000 cranking amps and a kinetik 2400..what makes the kinetik much more suitable for audio needs...thanks for all the help i jus need to know the diffference

kinetik is sealed and is an agm type cell (lower esr than a typical non sealed wet cell) also has a much larger capacity. capacity basically tells you how big of a tank it has to deliver the power from basically. its also a deep cycle were the everstart isnt.

what is agm and esr?
agm is a suspended cell (some people call them a dry cell but isn't entirely correct) means it wont leak even if turned upside down or sideways also wont corrode. esr is the resistance of the battery the lower the esr the higher the voltage. iirc those everstarts have 55-60 aH of capacity where the 2400 has 128 aH

I read where the Everstart Marine Maxx is 125 AH and 205min reserve capacity....
