Battery type for under hood

It's time to replace the battery in my Jeep (group 34, I believe). I have a 125A alt. My current system is around 750W. I might bump that up, but not more than 1500W. I know for inside the cabin you want agm, though I don't get what car audio branded batts have over others.

Is there any reason to get anything fancier than a costco battery?

for the sake of long lasting battery life purposes, you'd want matching AGM front and back, its not the end of the world but it does slightly impact it. Also its a lot stronger than normal batts. Swaping a duralastl gold autozone batt for a kinetik hc1800 helped my voltages out a lot when i had my corolla.

If you only have one battery and are running 750 watts, a standard vented lead acid battery is fine for up front. I wouldn't get an AGM if I was you.

If you're running two batteries, then yes get an AGM under the hood
