Battery suggestions??

Hi curious to what you guys suggest for an under the hood batt for me.. I will be running a RD HW 18" off of an Atomic 3000.1 . I have 2 Hawker Genesis batteries that will be powering the amp in the back, and I am wondering what will be a good battery for under the hood. Right now i just have an Autolite Platinum under the hood, not sure if this would cut it. I have a 200 amp alt. full big 3 done in 1/0.

Why even upgrade the front battery? Is it old and weak? If not, save the dough. If you really want to make it last longer, use a battery isolator.

how exactly would a battery isolator work in my situation? I understand that having an isolator designates one batt for audio, and one for starting? am I correct? thanks!

It would separate the two differing batteries banks. Since you have dissimilar types of batteries, you are best off keeping them separated at least when the engine is off. That way, the front battery does not drain the rear batteries while the car is parked.

I have a kinetik 1800 under hood and havent had any problems with it at all.
