how do you calculate how many watts a battery will beef up your electrical? I think it's the amp hours times something right?

It's all irrelevant with today's higher end batteries. 60 amp hours of XS will out do 120 of deka.

Oh okay. I know I did an app on my android that would calculate electrical capability by entering alternator's amps battery's ah and amp's efficiency but I can't find one for my iPhone. I plan on getting a new whip and 5 months and trying to plan out the build get piece by piece.

The old rule of thumb is 70ah per 1000 watts. Batt tech has changed and the discharge and internal resistance is so much better.
