Battery Positive connection

well yea i have a95 lumina and it appears that i cannot attach my amp power to my bater becuase it is not flush.... i cant even screw it in. on the postive screw there is a big rubber around it... do i really need that?? and i guess i need a new side post connector but how do i take out that screw thats there now?? do i just pull it out from the rubber?

One of these looks like what you'll need. Separates into two pieces.

Unscrew the factory screw, screw in the base to the battery.

Then attach a ring terminal to the installed base with the outer screw and you're set.

 
yae like i can unscrew it from the battery but then when i have the post off. the screw will not come out of the cable.. does the whole metal part put out of the rubber or is just the screw supposed to come out
