i was saying thats what the yellow tops are good for (playing your system for a longer period of time with the vehicle off). they drain much slower than say a red top and as a result, take much longer to charge. a red top is good for a DD because it charges up real quick and is more reliable IMO.
if you think a battery load tester is a waste of money you are silly... i pulled one dead batt from an array of 5 total in my crx and GAINED a healthy amt, not to mention my voltage came up alot after it was pulled... its a cheap and useful tool.
red tops arent meant to be drained and charged agian. THey will die alot quicker than a yellow top. If ur gonna get a optima get either blue or yellow(both are deep cycle batts)
