HO Alt will do you ZERO good if you dont deal with the ELD issue because your cars computer will never know your pulling extra current.

He just has to run a wire directly from the alt harness to the battery. Not that hard..

Im pretty sure its not that easy. Have you read the articles? it has to do with the ELD turning off the alternator when the system doesnt need..or something of that nature. Just read the articles . Youll learn something valuable

Internally regulated alternators are easy. Just run the sense wire to the battery. I completely disconnected my stock harness and ran a wire from my alt to battery. Fixed my voltage problem.

As long as he gets internally regulated alt, there should not be an issue.
