I have a honda civic with a b16 motor in it I'm going to hooking up 2 saz1500 and 1 sax100-4 The subs are 4. Sa8 v2 what's more important a big battery or a better alt ? Do I need those ? A few people I know run stock stuff no problems ?? It's just for a show car not daily use and won't be hitting all the time but want things to be good. Any input ? Thanks.

Do you know about the ELD sensor?

Thread i made that has people talkign about battery vs alts.

You can hook it all up and try it. Be reasonable when playing, that's a good amount of power and your electrical system can't handle amps' full potential. You'll need an HO alternator if you're to reap full power of those things.

I have a yellow top 3100 from my buddy would that be ok ? Then alt I was told around 450 ( I think that's what he said ) so it's worth the money ?
Yellowtops are fine, yes. Alternator is worth it, but make sure you get a good one. You want one from a trusted builder and get the biggest one that'll "drop in." Try to get one with good idle amperage well - helps when you bump at red lights lol

Alternators are more important.

Also, optima batteries are not ideal for car audio. Lots of horror stories.

The new optimas are made in Mexico. There was a very informative thread on CACO about red and yellow tops. Will not buy them, and I advise you not to either.

A plain Jane rebadged AGM will be fine. Duracell, Deka, ect.

How many amps would be good ? I'm new to all this crap. U like stinger or xs ?
Singer for alternators. Just get the biggest you can fit, because you will likely want to upgrade your system later.

XS batteries are great, but unless you're a serious competitor with lots of cash, a regular AGM would work fine.
