Looking for 1 or 2 big Batteries. New.

Iv scoped out the selection on here, nothing appeals. Id like at least 200 Ah out of the two combined.

Prefer non car audio brands. No sense paying all the money for a brand. Unless you have a good deal. Just need some AGMs for the build in my sig, space is semi limited but im a resourceful guy.

Thanks

I sell alot of batts (im currently out) but CCA is a better Indictator of what the maximum draw a battery can handle... if anything its a better ratting to know then the amp hours since amp hours are normally rated with a low amp draw... aka amp hours means nothing in car audio.. It's not all about the capacity. It's how much power you can get in and out of the battery quickly.

Battery reserve depletion is not linear. Amp hours are rated for very small draws over 10 or 20 hr. Meaning like... 5 amps of draw for 20 hours = 100Ah. That does NOT mean it can support 100A for an hour.

Lol, is that last bit a copy n paste? I could swear I've read that before on this forum over the years.

This seems to be a pretty arguable topic. But fair enough. Amp hours, CCA.

2000+ cca's then

yea im curious about this honestly. i see people saying amp hours are more important then i see others say CCA. CCA does make more sense to me seeing that we tank batteries when play lol.... Amps hours might make a difference when vehicle is off but idk

Yea I wrote it.lol

CCA>AH

Crazy how 2 lawn mower batts keeps voltage exactly the same as a XS D3100.. Been tested again and again. You are on the right track about non "car audio" batts tho.

so that would mean kinetik batteries > xs power batteries?

cranking amps of a hc 2400 is 1700 vs a d3100 1360

The newer black ones are made by north star so yea I could see one being better then a xsd3100. The older blue ones Wong test anywhere near that

oh **** really? i thought the newer black ones were shady, hell if they are rebadged northstar, i got a dealer next to me with decent prices! Probably switch out my under the hood with a kinetik hc 1400R. My under the hood is a group 34, cant find any proper sized reverse polarity battery to match that so i have to downsize, you know any brands with a group 34 reverse polarity @Boomsday ?

Every brand should have some reverse polarity batts probably just have to order them direct. But you could always modify your stock cables to make a normal one work pretty easy
