Ok guys.

Bout to start my electrial upgrade. Looking into replacing my stock batt and Big 3.

Got a Tahoe 04.

Was originally gonna go with a Odyseey PC1200MJT. But it doesn't have the side post that the factory GM trucks use. Optima would be perfect since it has the top and side post, but i'm a man about value. The odyssey cost about the same as the yellow with more CH, i don't however know the acutaly CCH. Any1 know?

Anyway does any1 know of a battery with top and side post like the optima but with a much higher CCH?

What i was thinking of doing is cuttin off the factory piece that is used to put in the GM post and actually place the exposed wire into a terminal, then have my big 3 upgrade and i could then hook my amp wire directly to the batt. What you think?

How many CCH's do you want?? Optima has a yellow top listed at 34/78 750 an a couple of beefy red tops (34/78 800, 75/35 720). Personally, any one of those will do wonders for you.

A regular red top OR yellow top would do the trick. Are you keeping the stock alternator, and if so...are you going to put a good size load on it? If so, you should use a yellow top as your starting b/c of it's ability to deep cycle. If your going to upgrade your alternator, or if ur keeping stock and not putting too much of a load on it...just use the regular red top starting battery. peace

I had a yellow top worked good... now I have a exide optima clone.... orbital or somethin.. I think I'm gonna go with two blue top g31 optimas next...
