if it is under 3000 or so watts total either way should be ok.

It wouldn't be the same thing because wiring from front battery to rear batteries now means the batteries are wired together. I've read in some instances this can ruin the life span of some batteries.
And idk if it makes anymore of a difference considering im still unsure of what to do, but the optima is about 2 years old while the dekas are new.

Unless you magically have the main battery charging without being connected to the alt, the batteries are still wired together. Circuit 101 ****.

Where else are you going to wire it to? The windshield? They have to be in the circuit together one way or another.

No, all about parallel and series connections for DC circuits. Basically the class was DC circuit analysis. 152 was the same class but dealing with AC instead of DC.
