batt help please

i have 2 ssx treo's and a rd audio d9 the subs are rated at 2500wrms but today i added 3 batts to keep up the volts up but now i smell the coils heating up and have never done it before due to voltage drop i guess so what do you think, this was playing bass mekinik for about 1 min or so full tilt but the volts only droped to 13.6 so i guess the batts helped
