Bassworx GPH212 Enclosure?

Would the Bassworx GPH212 Enclosure be a good choice for 2 Alpine 12" Type R? The Specs seem to be in range but I'm just curious to know what you guys think. I know that making a custom box is the best option but I dont have the time or effort. The box is going in an SUV so its in the open (not like closed in a trunk).

My buddy has a Bassworx box and I I think they look great and are constructed well so thats what made me look more into Bassworx.

those look expensive......just have somebody on here build ya one for alot cheaper and to exact specs that you want

IMO that's high tuning for a type R (38hz).

I'd give them 30-35hz.

they're nice boxes no 45's inside.... and they look great... i've put several type r's in them.. good results...

step 1: go to best shop in area

step 2: have them build you one

and chances are they have worked with alot of type r's and know whats best for them

Well in my experience with bassworx boxes is the methods behind their construction are great. Kerf cut corners... rounded edges..... 45'd angles. But in my experience with their sound is it isnt as good as a regular slot or aero port. There was also a good amount of port noise in the setups I've heard with them.

I forgot to mention I've heard type r's in those boxes and they didnt sound that great.

1.4cf per sub ported is way low for a 12" type r as well.
