I added some subs to a ford focus with 600 watt rms. I ran a loc off of the speaker wires and it seemed to be working. Until you turn to volume up pass 20 the bass plays in and out. It'd the stock head unit still. So when I turned the volume down to like 10-15 the bass came out a lot more clear. Wonder what the problem might be.

Is it cutting out when you have the car on or off? Sounds like a supply for the demand issue here. I could be wrong . As well as Clipping may be the cause. What LOC did you use ?

The car is on and when bass plays it would go in and out
Thr loc I used was like a 30$ kicker loc

Explain your supply for the amplifiers demand.. Size.. Fuse used , style, size of battery under hood/rear..Have you checked your voltage with a DMM to see what it is when this happens
