Bass Boost...Bad?

just chiming in but u recomend no bass knobs right, cuz if i do put one i gotta figure out where to put that death knob.
No, you don't need it. Just set your gains and everything else correctly. Read over this thread...most people will agree (including myself) that bass boost slowly will kill your subs.

If your gains are set correctly and your sub is properly powered and you're not getting enough bass, you should try a different setup/box/etc., or a new sub. Beating the hell out of it with a clipped signal will eventually end it's life, and if you keep boosting the bass with all your woofers, the cycle will never end.

It's hard to find the old fashioned stuff anymore actually. Glad the new unit has the features you like. In future I'd always suggest calling up...

You have a blown cap in the amp more than likely. Had the same thing happen to a soundstream amp.

Brahmas are nice. I have a 10" Mk1. Just a single 10 was enough for me.
