basket idea's?

im looking for some idea's on what would be the best type of basket.

what is the main job of a sub basket besides holding the sub together.

give me the flaws of basket designs and what would you do/need to fix them.

im looking just for the perfect basket design, so all you guys that know the ins and outs of a sub please reply with your comments...

are you going to BUILD a basket or something??

anyways, a subwoofers basket is like a cars frame, it holds everything together from the surround to the magnet.

a good basket design (in my opinion) is one that goes from the surround up front all way to the back and mounts BEHIND the magnet with bolts. not only does it look nice but it keeps the sub well protected when inverted in ur trunk.

yea something like that, i was thinking of getting my machinest to look at how much would they cost if i build my own type of baskets.

does anybody have pics of there favorate basket design.

you need several things from a basket..

strength..

clearance..

cooling vents..

and it can't resemble any other basket out.. because thats a patent issue...
