balance problem

i have sony cdx f5550 HU, wich is driving both front and rear speakers, but the problem is when the balance is centered i don't get much bass on rear speakers, but when i move balance to left or right bass goes wild, and it rocks like it should, please help any reply would be great!

The only thing that I can think of is the rear speaker wire polarity is wired out of phase, which would cancel out the bass. Moving the balance all the way to the left or right would turn off one speaker and there wouldn't be any cancellation anymore. Check to ensure that the positive and negative wires are connected properly.

i've checked it and it seems that my right rear speaker was conected wrong, but now everything rocks! Thank you very much!
