Baffle help

I need some help with some baffles i made, most of you guys have probably seen the baffles for door speakers which are about the size of a cereal bowl and seal the speaker in the door, well i made some out of cereal bowls and mounted the speaker in them inside the door panel //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif So basically ive got my mids in about a .25 ft sealed enclosure inside the door. Ive noticed most newer cars have a vent in the bottom of the baffle, would this vent make my mids sound better? the vents act like a vented enclosure for the drivers to increase the bass output.
