14 years ago I had an elderly couple make a left turn right in front of me, and the police estimated I hit them at 50 mph.

...in a 1965 chopped top VW Baja Bug with lap belts only and a fiberglass one piece nose on it.

My head broke the windshield, and I had a bruise on my chest that was a perfect outline of the steering wheel.

Destroyed some nerves in my left leg, and I've been disabled ever since.

That's bad biz. A wreck at those speeds here in Japan crinkles the entire car. These J cars are not built the same way.
