Hi all, I didn't see a technical forum so I'm posting my situation here, hope I can get some input on what you people think is the culprit.
A few days ago I had my heater on at night, it was a little over 60 degrees and I wanted my windows open while I drive.. I'll say I had the headunit (alpine ivaw505) on mute for about 30 minutes and I then turned the volume to audioable levels and it sounded like crap, like a low quality recording song with high treble and lacking vocals. I run focal k2p up front powered by the front channels of jl hd 600/4 amp (150rms) 2 years old, speakers are 3.5 years of use. Eq is flat: 0 treble 0 bass, I actually run it on defeat which is 0 eq on te headunit since I got te system. Front speakers are hp at amp around 95 hz 12 DB slope.
The sound didnt get better with radio or mp3 songs, after shut downs ext until the next day but something seems off.. It doesn't sound exactly how it use to, It could sound better.. What do you think is going on?
FYI the cd player stopped working in the alpine a year ago.
