Hey guys. New here to this forum and thought I'd breaK the ice with my current dillemA. So I was changing out my old Rca's with some new braided ones and and these braided ones that I got were the type that are so snug and tight when plugged into the rca outputs/inputs that you literally have to kinda twist or screw them on so they are fully plugged in alllll the way... Well of course I thought that I pushed them in enough but ten seconds later when I turned on my head unit to hear how everything was doing one of the front Rca's fell out of the back of the head unit and I heard a crazyyy high pitch ring that got higher and tighter and more n more n then Zapp... All my high levels were gone... None of my tweeters work at all in anyway and only the mid woofers and subwoofers are working .. I tested my crossovers which are all good, even switched out all my tweeters which are all good still also... So what do you think happened and how can I if I can go about fixing it? I have an alpine IVE-w530 double din just fyi.. And so im thinking maybe all my rca outputs are bad and only putting out low levels? Would a line level converter do the trick perhaps? If so any suggestions on them because I've never used them before much less even looked at them for a couple seconds unfortunately... If it is the rca outs on the source unit is it fixable or should I just as well get another heAd unit? Thx for reading guys n let me know your two cents!
