Bad idea?

EDIT:
I realized that the design would potentially interfere with reclining the seats further back so I ordered the 12''.
Got the SI SQL on sale for $239.99 shipped. I hope it's loud enough!😁

I want to fit a 15'' but I only have 14'' width to work with. Will this cause any problems?
Will be sealed with a sub designed for sealed.
If someone could simply give me an educated yes or no, I'd be very grateful. Already have everything else planned out and I'm ready to order a 12" or 15'' accordingly.

With most subs, you're going to need a little more than the cone size to mount the sub. With a 15, depending on the sub, you're going to need usually between 15.5" and 16" to be able to mount it

I just need to know if the box design will work as far as having it get wider where I'll mount the sub. Thanks

You just have to make sure the basket and the motor fit inside. Also, if there's a pole vent, it's far enough from the back wall that it can breath. Other than that, internal volume is internal volume. A simple shape won't really effect anything as long as you have sufficient internal volume for the sub

Where did you get it for this price?
