Ive been getting bad voltage at the amp, not at the batterys... No headlight dim at all!

Did the big three over the weekend and still dropping in low 11' and 10's then amp shut off.. "atleast the protect circuit works!!). Lmao

Have checked front and rear bats and alt.. All are good! I noticed today on the fuse holder, one of the blocks looks like its bout to pop off.??? Could it be the cause of my voltage problem.???

I can get pics, but only by email if u want to see them.

how many amps is your alt?. gauge wire used? batts? where you grounded to in the front and rear? amp used i also mpedance. ? ? alot could cause this .

process of elimination is going to be a pitty

120 amps alt diehard front yellow top rear 4gauge wire. Mmats dhcx2200.1 for sub, kicker kx350.4 for highs. THE ONLY VOLTAGE DROP IM GETTING IS AT THE SUB ANMP!!! Not the kicker amp nor the batterys.. Thats why i think the fuse holder for the sub amp is messed up...

get a new fuse holder and a 300 amp fuse or 350 . a fuse thats too small will choke the amp from getting the proper voltage . hope i could help

300 amp fuse is not needed... Ive ran 150 on that mmats since 05ish, never popped a fuse!

yes i could do the same thing , but try this , take a 150amp fuse and test voltage drop on the amp . install a 300 amp fuse and check voltage drop/ let me know what you find out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And if my amp F's up you gona pay the repair bill....??? I had minimal voltage drop without the big three, (b4 the fuse holder issue) have the big three done now voltage doesnt really budge much 13.4ish.... I have pretty much NO voltage drop

well if its working for you now no need to change it .

Were you saying by using a bigger fuse the amp will draw more current thus so amp will produce more power..??
It will be easier for the amp to pull power when you fuse for what the max amperage of the wire not the amp, so if you have 9' or less of 4g fuse it for 200amps over 9' fuse for 150amps if you have different wire google wire amperage chart and you can find the max safe fusing for your setup.
