Bad amp?

Im using a LOC on my stock head unit. When I connect either of my RCA's that come out of the LOC to the white input or output on the amp, the subs play. When I connect to the red I get no sound in the subs. I feel like I had this problem before with a different amp that I had in the car so I can't tell if its an amp problem or what.

Side Note: Its a 2 channel amp, and both subs play with just one input working.

I didn't bridge it though, its a two channel amp using 1 channel for each sub.
Hook up a phone or mp3 player using a 3.5mm to 2 male rca adapter. If both channels play, it's the deck or rca's. If it doesn't, it's the amp.

I would be willing to bet that the high level connections for the loc are out of phase. try to reverse the wiring for one side of input of the loc and see what happens.

Turns out my LOC were out of phase, I fixed that and still replaced the amp because 1 side still wasn't working. But now I'm confused again. On my sub box there are 2 input terminals. It doesn't matter which terminals I hook the speaker wires up to from my amp, both subs play. According to all of the wiring diagrams I have seen two 4 ohm DVC subs should only be hooked up to one terminal. I don't have time to take the speakers out of the box today and see how they are wired up but in order to hook both terminals up to my new mono amp and get high output I have to wire it like this.

Amp Input = - - + +

Speakers wired into amp = - + - +

So they both play no matter what terminal is active, but seem to get a bit louder when connected the way I have em.

I guess my new question would be what ohm load is my amp even seeing right now since they don't seem to be hooked up the traditional way. I'm assuming a 2 ohm load, 4 ohms each terminal.

not 100% on what configuration that you have it connected but if you have both terminals connected to the amp in parallel both + to amp and both - to amp I would assume that you have a 2ohm load at the amp. You will want to double check it with a dmm. I might be willing to guess that the box is a shared air space for the subs. That way it looks and kinda feels like both are playing but its just the pressure inside the box making the other sub look like its playing. If you get more output with both terminals connected leave them both connected.
