Backup batteries. . .

My installer told me that the DEI 520T backup battery will not support my sirens with enough juice to run for any amount of time. I have 7 sirens right now and I was just wondering if this is true or has he just got it installed wrong?

I took a look at the install and there are 2 pairs of pos and neg wires on the module. 1 pair goes to the backup battery and I'm guessing the other pair goes to a constant 12v source right? Well, it's hooked up right and I've verified that it's hooked up right with a DMM, but it doesn't work. I can disconnect the neg battery terminal and the alarm does not do anything when it's armed. Any ideas?

The usual rule is: more than 3 use a relay.

I have 4 and do not use a separate relay, but I have 2 amps output on my siren capacity from my module, which I have heard is enough. I also run my alarm power secondary from my Stinger SP1700 Power2dB battery for sound, which helps much!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I run the Stinger SP1000 Power2 in the engine.

* I would recommend using a relay for 7.
