Back speakers only emit lows, not highs.

So my car broke down recently and I took it to a shop and when I got my car back my audio sounded entirely different. What's happening right now is it seems that the back speakers just aren't emitting highs at all.

I'm using a Lanzar HTG447 2000W amp, 2 Boss P65.4C speakers in the back, and 2 MTX Audio TN653 speakers in the front. My head unit is a Pioneer DEH-6300UB.

I've messed around with the amp and still no highs coming out of the back speakers. What can I do?

The speakers aren't blown either, as I've placed new speakers in the spots so it's just baffling to me.

high pass filter is off or set wrong.

I would got to HPF just because I think the speakers you have shouldn't be put below 80hz.

well i've just done this and still it is only the lows that are coming out, causing me even more confusion as what you said seemed to make total sense.

when i switch it to LPF the lows seemingly vanish but the highs don't appear on HPF.

any other ideas?

Your HPF must be broken than try full and if it does not work your amp is broken.

well then ive got a broken amp it seems, and theres nothing i can do about is there? barring purchasing another. nothing a fuse replacement could fix?

Nope you could get it repaired but, I am not sure how much it would cost. Spend sometime on here and we will be able to give you a very nice system to ride around with.

you can learn alot here. I am still learning... but yeah sounds like the amp is bad. probably not worth repairing... just buy a new amp.

how are you wired to the HU? do you have F/R, L/R outs to the amp? Have you checked the HU settings to see if the Rear outs are set to REA and not SW ? A mechanic might have been messing with your HU and swapped the rear to SW instead of full range REA, because the rears pre's are used for one or the other.

make sure the FIE is off
