anyways, a girl threw a drink at me in my car, soaking my interior; I kicked her out my car and she then threw rocks at my car. She went to the police and filed a complaint against me; which police laughed at her and arrested her lol.

The damage for her throwing a drink in my car was $200 and I already had the work done, I have an estimate of $1700 for her throwing rocks at my car but I didn't get it done yet because I can't afford it. I put in a request for restitution. Anyways, she got found guilty today and was ordered to pay just $200 and the court said the $1700 cannot be proven damage and seems high, they also said I cannot prove what dents, dings and scratches were there before her throwing the rocks. - This is all what they said without asking me if I could prove anything; I was aksed to appear in court yet never asked to appear on the stand and I was never questioned, they wouldn't even look at the pictures I have.

So now, how do I go about getting the $1700? Or did she just get away with throwing the rocks... because she only had to pay the $200 for the interior damage. Do I pay the rest on my own? Can I take her to small claims court or do I need to let this rest since a court already made a ruling... Lets go Car audio law experts lol; I dont know who else to ask that won't charge me for advise haha.

I thought Canada had a public auto maintenance program -- car detailing is provided by the government.
I wish... but doubt it lol; or I've never heard of it.

Take her to court. Judge Judy would **** that ***** up bad.
u say that as I am watching Judge Judy on TV lol... There was even a case on her show last week that sounded identical to my situation...

and micheal moore oversee's the detail work.

IMO id go to small claims and sue her....prob it it will take at least $100 to draw up the paper work to sue her.

You'd probably win though with a previous criminal charge against her for the same episode.

Depending on what province you live in, you may or may not be able to get it covered under your insurance, although you will have to pay a deductible. I don't think it would be worth the higher insurance rates, though.

It would be best to take her to small claims court w/ as much evidence as possible (witnesses, before and after photos of the car, etc.)

I live in NS, but want to keep insurance far away from this. I am not the primary driver of the vehicle and have been driving it like I am, if anything popped up and they were to find that out, I'd be upset.

But Thanks. And yes I have many witnesses to the condition of my car before and after the incident. I had body work done to my car just 1 months prior to her throwing the rocks, I have pictures from the day after the body work was done and then pictures taken the day she threw rocks and you can see the big difference. Today, the crown attorney said that isn't enough for them to consider and didn't even look at the pictures and told me "There's no way she caused $1700 to the exterior of your car by throwing two handfuls of rocks." I asked him to look further into the estimate however; because the majority of the damage was because she chipped the glass on 2 of my windows and that windows aren't just a touch up job, they need to be replaced. I think I didn't get through well today because the crown attorney had no idea about cars or the prices of things involved with them. He even tried to tell me, if I were to win, that she wouldn't pay anyways because of her financial situation; that's just BS, I shouldn't have to take a loss because some girl threw rocks at my car and can't afford to pay for her own actions.

Call Judge Joe Brown

Was that girl in your car when she threw the drink? If so, why was she?
She was in my car. She was a ex that wanted me... I didn't let her in the car and tried so long to get her out too. We were at a bar and my friend was feeling sick and said he wanted to go to the car early, so I gave him the keys. I left the bar about 10 minutes later and she was in the car with him talkin about me... when I got there, I told her to get out and then after arguing forever in a huge public place, I got sick of her and I said I'd drive her as close as I could to her house on my way home... Half way to that, she threw a drink because I was ignoring her... she even said "I bet this will get your attention" as she was throwing it lol...
