b quiet sound deadener

Why is RaaMmatt better, what makes it cheaper...

62 sq ft RaaMmatt, vs 100 sq ft B quiet,

I could almost put two layers of B quite to 1 layer of RaaMmatt

Is it really, twice as good ???

are you saying that B quiet is asphalt based?

That's a very good point.

I've been searching deadning, everyone talks about sticky, thick stuff, and i've heard a few downing the peal n' seal, but this brings a real valid point to the table.

Hell, if the price is right I'd put four layers...

but, what I am will to pay more for, is something I don't have to smell, our won't ouzzz onto my floorboard.

Great point to bring out.

I'd like to throw "Hushmat" into the picture. The stuff is amazing. I used to use nothing but Dynamat... then went on to Extreme. Now this on the otherhand is extremely sticky and can be applied cold or hot. I did a single layer of my trunklid and removed all rattles I found in the trunk of my car. I won't use Dynamat Extreme again. As for second skin, I haven't used it but was told about hushmat from someone who used SS for almost everything in sound deadener.

Just for the curious, hushmat is butyl, not asphalt or pvc. http://www.hushmat.com

raamat is butyl based, which does better deadening than asphalt.
i prefer secondskin over raamat anyday, but if i had to choose in order, i think i would go with:

SS > Dynamat Extreme > Raamat > anything else.
which ss product? damplifier or damplifier pro? not saying damplifier is bad (its actually good) but i would put raamat and dynamat over it in dampening any day. damplifier is more flexable i would say but it tears easier and seems to need two layers to make the plunk sound when knocking on the panel which it was installed. it reminds me alot of mad mat. not saying ss is bad at all but to be honest only way i would buy the ss is if it were at a better price than dynamat or raamat and probably fatmat (i get to do a 70 challenger in 100 feet of that soon). damplifier pro however i would hold in a higher reguard but its also alot more expensive than what i can dynamat for (personal use it is my cheapest alternitive believe it or not lol) the b quiet product has been around for awhile its not bad (when i say its not bad it kills the peal and seal crap) but it was always considered the underling to dynamat extreme it was popular because of the price. on a floor panel firewall transmission hump i think both raamat and dynamat would be very good only lacks in installation ease on tighter areas. in the ss i would do a 60/40 mix of damplifier pro and regular damplifier and i think you would have a pretty steller combo with probaly less broken knives and torn up knuckles lol .. just my 2 cents from what i have seen and installed and really none of this stuff (besides the peal and seal) isnt worth not considering but i will also add matching this stuff up with a liquid deadner over the top nets the best results i have seen yet (in the old school days in bad areas i used about an 1/8" of resin lol)
