Truly, though, like I said earlier, it was the first time I put the throttle down in 5th. I absolutely did not expect it to get that fast before I could even take a breath and get out of it.

Yea dude. Now I know what this car can do. After break-in, it'll only open up on a track. This is like my 18th vehicle and probably the fastest yet. My Eclipse GSX turbo with some mods was pretty quick and so was the 70 Coronet (Challenger, basically) with 440, but nothing like the Evo X.

I'm not some dumb young dork. This is my midlife crisis/divorce trauma toy. LOL

I doubt you made the instant change over from the 440 to this Evo but dang that sure would be a complete 180. Rear wheel drive torque monster big block to a dinky turbo 4 AWD. Smoke machine to a car that feels like its on rails lol. When I drove my friends STi the only thing I didn't like about it is it had no bottom end torque, had to rev the snot out of the thing just to putt around. It was fast when you romped on it but for everyday driving not my thing at all.

I doubt you made the instant change over from the 440 to this Evo but dang that sure would be a complete 180. Rear wheel drive torque monster big block to a dinky turbo 4 AWD. Smoke machine to a car that feels like its on rails lol. When I drove my friends STi the only thing I didn't like about it is it had no bottom end torque, had to rev the snot out of the thing just to putt around. It was fast when you romped on it but for everyday driving not my thing at all.

It only displaces 2.0 liters (same as my bottle of mountain dew) I'm not saying it doesn't pack a punch for its size, but where I come from its a pretty small motor. The turbo on my truck is probably nearly half the size of his engine block, and my engine probably weighs nearly half of what his entire car weighs lol.

The 440 was in my 2nd vehicle 20 years ago. Uh... yea, night and day difference. Big block Mopar power with Mickey street drag radials on a 4000+ pound boat. LOL. I've owned everything from old American muscle to import sports to "luxury" to monster trucks. So, yea, I guess you can say I'm kinda' a car nut. But I'm definitely not "rich".... so, one at a time. haha
