AWD and Forced Induction Cars?

please dont check out anything audi unless you got money to blow. the allroad is the worst. the 2.7tt is a great motor, but very unreliable. some people have said get the 3000gt vr4 and other stupid idea, dont get any of those as well. all of these car have horrible reliability. granted i love BMW's, but they are easy to work on. the inline6 gives you plenty of engine bay room to work on it. out of all the cars posted so far, they have the best balance of any of them, 50/50. it makes them VERY predictable. they are a blast in the snow, atleast the newer ones. the ZHP model my buddy has comes equiped with dinamic stability and braking control, traction control etc etc. as long as you dont think you can out smart the cars electronics, you will do just fine in the snow. during the summer is the most fun with the RWD car. dont get AWD or FWD. you will regret it. its a better driving experience when you drive a RWD car

to add to this, with the ZHP in grand targhee wyoming, we have pulled 2 SUV's out of snow banks. 1 f150 and the other was a GMC Denali. 10000 pound test line and a hook on the rear of the car. the car just squated down and kinda walked side to side, couple feet one way, then go back to the other. they are amazing cars.

Oops, I forgot that the Allroad uses the same engine as the B5 S4. HUGELY unreliable.

I don't think the OP wants a car that he has to turbo himself. Otherwise, definitely Bimmer. They are reliable, just super expensive to fix. Audi's stuff their engines into the front bumper, so any front-end engine work is a bitch.

I think the Subaru Legacy 2.5gt or Spec. B is your best option then. Reliable, quick, handsome, handles well, comfortable, great in inclement weather, well equipped, insurance won't **** you like a WRX would...gas mileage is the only downfall I can think of. Car & Driver calls it the "poor man's BMW", and it was one of their favorite cars for its lifespan (new legacy's suck). It's a very underappreciated car.

That's badass...Love those kinds of stories!

Pick up an old skyline; see if you can get a stock R34 and build that sucker up
I would kill so many babies to get my hands on one of these... but not really cuz that'd be terrible. But **** I've always wanted to drive one.

get a 99'-01 subaru 2.5rs coupe for 2-3k. drop 5-6k on a sti swap + some goodies.
You have a reliable 300whp car that weighs 2800 lbs and handles like a beast/
I want to do this sometime before I die //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Good luck finding a 2.5rs for under 5k! They hold their value WAY too well imo. Beautiful cars though

Wouldn't it be great to have a car that could hit 200mph AND 150db?

When I'm pulling six figures, I might either buy one of those new GTRs or hunt for a pristine R34.

Yeah, I've always been a huge skyline fan, GT3 really turned me onto them, that Calsonic Skyline was my favorite car.

FYI , i beat a car like the OP's in the dust with my buick last week. Was turbo too , i could hear his ******* blowoff valve over my front stage. I left him off the line , but he caught up and we stayed pretty much neck and neck , but he pussed out at 90 , i think he woulda walked away at about 100 , my buick's ****** won't really let you accelerate too fast once you get that fast. You can get it up to about 130 but 100-130 is a long stretch of waiting and watching the speedo. 0-100 is another story , not too shabby for a N/A stock V6. Another thing that helped me was the guy couldn't shift for ****. LOL.

Sounds like a cheaply tuned car. Probably some kid who thought he was getting a good deal for a 1500 dollar turbo kit to really make his civic hatchback a REAL pussy getter

Whoa now! Rag on the spaghetti suspensions , but remember this........THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT!!
haha true, its just so many cars transfer it so poorly to the axels.
