Avic-Z2 Bypass

Ive been looking around for a way to bypass the built in safety features on my avic-Z2 Ive found sites that want you to pay $15 for the info but then I cam across a site that had software that is supposed to do it. You simply download the software burn it to a disc and put it in the unit. I am a bit weary of trusting this software and dont want to damage the software on the z2. Has anyone done a bypass on a z2 or know where i can get the info/software from a reliable source free of charge? Really all i want is the ability to have my passenger put in and search for an address while im driving.

IIRC you need to run a hacked firmware to do it.

I only did the wire bypass and mine works fine, no software.

What grounding the parking brake wire? It works for 5 seconds then they gyro senses the cars movement and cuts out some features.

i did the wire bypass on my two...they work fine
