AutoZone vs O'Reilly Auto Parts. Alternator/Battery Issues.

Ok so i went Back to AutoZone this morning and they checked my Alternator again (diff person) and they said it's bad..again. Actually i read "BAD" from the device as well.

Just one thing: When Autozone was checking it they asked me to step on the gas and keep RPM on 2 constant (i guess to see if battery is charging). Oreily didn't do that - they just ran a check while the car was running on idle (no stepping on the gas).

And when Autozone person told me to take my foot of the gas and asked me 800 or 1000. I said i don't know because i really didn't what she was talking about.

I guess she made her own pick and thats when in few seconds i saw "BAD" on the display.

So i guess it is NOT the system and i have to change my ALTERNATOR asap. right?
