Autotek Amps

Just trying to get some opinions about Autotek amps. I got one as part of a package deal and trying to figure out were the brand stands with other amps. I do know they have been in the audio industry for like 28 years.

i am currently running two autotek 900.2 stealths on two 12" L7's

and i couldnt be happier i have had these 2 amps for like 3yrs now and play them everyday

altho one of them just messed up on me today 3yrs id say was a pretty good run

tho id say. i have been running autotek amps for about 5 yrs now

what model are you getting?

I have an 7100 that I bought used in 1990 and its still running strong today. However, That is when they were made in the good 'ol USA. Haven't used their newer stuff.

lol No its not for sale. Even if I never use it again, I want to keep it for "old times sake". It was the first amp I ever bought.

I just got the SS500.1. Its a new line from Autotek. The company got bought out by Maxxsonics about a year and a half ago. These guys are the parent company of MB Quartz, Crunch, Hifonics. The amp overheated on me the second day I had it. It was also wired down to one OHM behind a seat in my Titan, so it ran pretty hot, without any type of cooling applied to it.

Autotek Makes A Good Amp Now Ad Back When It Was Zed Audio,maxxsonics Owns Autotek Now,they Are Still Strong Though

alot of ppl over look autotek amps

i have had very good luck with autotek

untill to day but that amp has been running 3yrs straight

its pushed 2 12 w6's

1 15" alphasonic the big one

2 12" L7's two different pairs

1 12" L7 bridged

2 15" L7's

1 15" L7 bridged

so id say it had a pretty good run

branden i might be wrong but i dont belive that ss is one ohm stable is it?

Yeah, that amp is 1 ohm stable. I am running two Memphis Power reference 10in subs with it. The subs can't produce some of the low tones, but I think it might be the box that they are in. Probably the wrong size box for those subs. Well if you guys are saying that Autotek isn't so bad, I might buy the Autotek subs to go with the amp.
