I am thinking of going active for my new system, but currently only have two 4 channel amps (and no budget for a mono amp) one is an Aura RPM4200 and the other is an Alpine MRV-F345. Would it be fine for me to bridge the channels on the Aura amp to run my mids? bridged power is 2 x 150 mono.
I could then run the tweeters off 2 channels on the Alpine (75 x 2) and bridge the other 2 channels to run the sub (300 x 1 to a single 10" in sealed box).
If that all works, then do I need to worry that the Aura bridged states "2 x 150 mono" or is that not an issue since channels 1+2 would be for left, and channels 3+4 would be for right? Also, how would I hook up the RCA? Do I simply add a Y-adapter to the ends of the RCAs from the HU going into the amp? Sorry if thats a dumb question, first time looking into going active and trying to make sure I have everything planned out right before I start.
Thanks.
