Audison Bit ten issues

My battery went dead because my Bit ten was leaving my amps on. I charged my systems and now my bit ten won't toggle back and forth between my ipod and factory deck. Ordered a new bit ten and my toggle switch works just fine. A month passed and bit ten started leaving my amps on again, just like the first time i charged my battery and now it won't toggle back and forth between my ipod and factory cd player. Is the surge from charging my batter frying something in the bit ten?? and why the hell does it keep leaving my amps on?
