audioque hdc3 rms?

im redoing the system in my grand am and was going to put some treo ssi 15's in there but they wont fit so i sold them to a friend and want to purchase some audioque hdc3 12's. my problem is i have 2500rms and i keep reading that people put 2000 watts on one 12. my question is will the 2500 rms be enough to get these subs moving like they should??? or should i get a bigger amp???? thanks fa your help

they can take a bigger amp / more power..

but if your amp is putting out a true clean 2500 watts to em.. they will move and get quite loud ..

1200watts each would be fine. You don't HAVE to overpower them to make em loud just that they'll take a lot more then RMS under the right conditions...

consider the OP questions, and ask yourself if he is risking burning the subs by pushing them beyond 2500 watts. No offence to the OP, it is simply an experiance thing.

If you want to keep that amp happy, you're going to need to be careful, even at 2 ohms.

well the kicker isnt installed yet its still in my room under the bed when i sold my trunk. im still running my se 10's and ednine.1 for now. but im going to get an alternator and the kinetic to try to keep the amp happy, i think when i add the kinetic and the 200 amp alternator i would be fine dont you think?

Would you give the same rms to any size sub? (any size hdc3)

im thinkin 2 15 hdc3 aq subs on a crunch gp3000d-pro.

would 1500 ish rms to each sub be enough? (copper coils)

It will be for daily bumping, and i definitely am not going to enter comps or dbdrags.

i just want to bump loud as hell, but keep it safe and durable, you know?
