To second that notion that the HD of the same frame size is louder than the DD 3500. True......... not by but 1-4 tenths in most cases (with both subs being broken in, which takes quite a while) as we've had to take into account that the HDs have larger motors that tend to affect the vents when in somewhat close proximity, such as a CRX style box. You can tell how much this affects the system by comparing them both INVERTED in the same box. The HD can then get a little louder with a good deal more power put on it. Also note: they don't play quite as low without being forced to with power as compared to the 3500 of the same frame size. That's a clue for anyone wanting to play extremely low notes.

Yes the new design I think hes talking about the old design. Ive talked to meca competitors that use the hd's and they said its tenths to the 95.. Plus DJ says that its output is close to the 95..s as well

That goes without saying since the 3500 is normally within .5-1.2 dB of the 9500 and that 9500 being on a crap load more power. The HD is whichever you want to call it: a pissed off 3500 or a younger sibling to the 9500. If it were in the DD brand lineup, it would be above the 3500 but below the 9500, that may be a way of looking at it.

so what it looks like ClinesSelect, is that SPL140.2 really doesn't have these subwoofers in the pictures??? CS you may have to beef up your security, as SPL may come to your house to steal them for real...

or maybe team dillusionz may be just that dillusionz into thinking they have high-end gear! lol
