Which is a better deal an audioque hdc 18 for 200 or an fi q 18 for 175? Both in good working condition.

both are good, but i think the aq is designed more for spl, and the bl is rated more like the aq than the q is.

That's what I was thinking also do you guys think an 18 is too much for a 3g eclipse hatch. Will it be loud or just sloppy.

It will be loud, the box and tuning will determine how the woofer will generally sound... How much power and room do u have?

Rather run the Q.

HDC will more than likely be louder.

And as long as you have sufficient power and tune the audio correctly it shouldn't sound sloppy, the Q in particular.

Well I have the lanzar thats my avatar for the amp which puts out around 1200 and am in the process of doin the big 3. I don't use the trunk so the box could be as big as it needs to be as long as it fits.

AQ HDC is "SQL" can get loud and sound good doing it.

the Q is also a good choice.

I own 15" versions of both subs and I like the sound of both. HDC takes more power and gets louder.

What type of music do you listen to?

Unless you're doing a wall, don't get either sub. You don't really have enough power for either, and you would need at least 6cuft NET for either. If you don't plan on buying a bigger amp very soon, just get a lower powered sub.

Those subs are designed for two completely different things.
