AudioPoop 1800 question

run 1/0 to the back and get a distro block run 4ga to the amp done. as far as fusing i would run a 120 and call it a day and u can find the fusing and distro together for cheap if u look hard enough.

i would try to run 1/0 ground though to the amp and chop off some wire more ground connection FTW!!!!!

^ this, if he plans on running another amp too, or upgrading on the one in question
Yeah, he said he just bought it to have something for now and will just sell it before he starts competing in our org next year. I told him he should of just saved his money and waited to get the right amp that he wont need to upgrade in a short while. Not to mention the fact that will more than likely take a hit on how much he bought it for compared to selling it. Sad thing was he had a perfectly fine VFL 80.1 that he sold and ended up buying this.

Whats your guys take on running 1/0 to a power cell then from the power cell run 4ga and fuse it from the power cell to the amp. Kind of like what BigJEFF said by cutting out the dist block?

that would be better than the distro block but if he doesnt have the cash or power cell the distro block would be cheaper

1800 watt rms and they only designed it with 4 gauge wiring? Somethings wrong with this picture...
Exactly. That's what im saying but I also found that the American Bass PH4000MD has 4ga inputs too and I know those serve up what they are rated for at 2krms and 4k peak. To me though, it just doesnt make sense.

I suggested the distro block just in case an additional (highs) amp was run into the mix later..and I might have said 2ga...but go as big as you can now, to have it there for later down the road..a power cell would be good, but the distro is not really necessary...I prefer the direct in-line ANL fuses over a distro anyways.

This is going to end up being a pure SPL vehicle "supposedly" but I don't get how with this amp. Thanks for the opinions guys, I just wanted to double check before he blows the thing up
