I just ordered 2 of these paid 284 with shipping brand new..

I have 2 audiopipe Eye Candy 12's 800 rms each 3 inch Voice Coil version. I plan to upgrade to the 15's my friend had one and it ripped the box to shreds it was in and snapped screws (but so have my 12's) What are your opinions of these speakers will they handle the full 800 watts? Or will i need to make extra sure my BOX can allow these speakers to reach that?

how will these pair? i planned on running the amps at 2 ohms where they will be 950 rms each so not overly powerful for the speakers

Also was wondering if this amp is strapable ive read that only the 1500 watt versions are..but how does this work and will i get my 3000 watts rms if strapped?

Thanks for any input please just do not flame my stuff i understand audiopipe isnt Rockford or kicker..but then again ive owned all of those and find the Pipes to be great quality so far and pound very hard especially considering the price..

yeah thats what ive heard...but ive heard if you strap 2 1500d's together you wont get the amount of power as a 3000d

(btw im about to pick a 3000d and 4 more 12's up for 225 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

the audiopipe 3k is just two straped 1500s in one case so you will get the same power straping 2 1500s

On the wiring end of the 1500,why is there a spot for left and right channels?I thought this was a mono amp and would have only 1 pos and 1 neg speaker output?
it is a mono amp its just bridge internally...the only reason there are 2 sets are just to make it easier to hook up speakers..

right thats what youd think i only ask becuase i have been reading that it is not as efficient when strapped and can only be ran at 2 ohms

yes, you just have two inputs for each positive and negative, it doesnt matter which two you use out of the four, you can use all four if you want and have a dual coil sub and want to parallel it down.

Troof. And covered in the manual in the wiring instructions.(first quote)

you will see 3k @ 2ohms.(second quote)

The AP TXX 15s will take 1500w each if its clean power.
yeah its only rated for 1000 so im curious what about the 12's?

i might just run 4 of these but can they handle the full 800 they claim?
